1. Information We Collect
When you place an order, we collect:
- Your email address — required for order confirmation and digital delivery.
- Your mobile phone number — required for top-up delivery (mobile orders only).
- A reference to the payment transaction processed by our payment partners.
- A small amount of session data needed to keep your checkout flow consistent (theme preference, draft order).
We do not store full credit card numbers, bank account numbers, or MoPé credentials. Those are handled directly by our payment partners — MoPé (Hakrinbank) and Paddle — and are governed by their own privacy policies.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To process and deliver your order.
- To send transactional confirmations and receipts.
- To respond to support requests.
- To comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations in Suriname.
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse of the service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or behavioural profiling.
3. Sharing With Third Parties
We share the minimum information required to fulfil your order with the following partners:
- Payment processors: MoPé (Hakrinbank) for SRD payments; Paddle for international card and PayPal payments.
- Fulfilment partners: Reloadly and DingConnect for top-up and gift card delivery.
- Hosting & infrastructure: Vercel (web hosting) and Supabase (database), who provide our website and storage services.
Information shared with these partners is limited to what they need to perform their role (for example, the recipient phone number for a top-up, or the email address for a gift card delivery).
4. Cookies
The site uses essential cookies to remember your theme preference (light or dark mode) and to maintain a session during checkout. We do not use cross-site advertising trackers.
5. Data Retention
Order records are retained for the period required by Surinamese tax and accounting law (typically seven years). After that period expires, records are anonymised or deleted.
Records relating to a refund or chargeback dispute may be retained longer where required to defend our legal position.
6. Your Rights
Subject to local law, you have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data, subject to our legal retention obligations.
To exercise these rights, email privacy@akinaventures.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and may need to verify your identity before acting.
7. Security
The site is served exclusively over HTTPS (SSL/TLS). Sensitive data in our systems is encrypted at rest where supported by our infrastructure providers. We restrict access to customer data to staff who need it to fulfil orders or provide support.
No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed 100% secure. While we follow industry-standard practices, we cannot warrant absolute security.
8. Children
The site is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
9. International Transfers
Some of our partners (Vercel, Paddle, Reloadly) operate outside Suriname. By placing an order, you understand that your data may be processed in jurisdictions whose data-protection laws differ from those of Suriname.
10. Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above tells you when the policy last changed. Material changes will be highlighted on the home page or notified by email where appropriate.
